Working Mom’s Weekly Encouragement

Each week for the past seven months I’ve sent out a weekly encouragement email to my mailing list. And each week, I’m going to share it here, as well. These are little tips geared for working moms to help with the week, it will generally come out each Sunday.

Last week, I mentioned planning for the week. Each weekend, I plan for the following week. It does not take a ton of time. You may think, “well, I could plan but it will change,” — sure it will! That’s life.

Here are a few tips on how to include in planning your week:

  • Review your calendar. Do you have plenty of travel time booked between meetings? Are your personal items accounted for on the calendar, such as kids activities, play dates, ball practice, etc.?
  • Set goals for the week. Each week I set a few goals, then read them daily. The power in reading the goals daily is two-fold: 1) some goals you have on your list don’t need to be there (so delete them) or 2) when you read them daily it hardwires them in your brain and you will find you get them completed quicker

“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” — Tony Robbins

Hope you are having a great weekend.

ps-I do a little bit of productivity coaching for working moms. If you are interested, reply to this email and let’s talk. Or you can see my coaching packages here.
