The Daily Good: Day 28
Prayer.
A few years ago I committed myself to be more deliberate about my faith.
Living in the Bible Belt and not knowing a time when I didn’t go to church, this doesn’t seem like a far stretch. Except it was. I knew everything to do, but sometimes I felt like I was going through the motions.
Today, I had lunch with a friend. Fortunately, she is rooted in her faith, and her guidance and wisdom are as comforting as a glass of sweet tea in July.
As our lunch arrived at the table, we joined hands and prayed. I was immediately reminded of what gift it is to pray in public, to pray before meals, and to pray with friends. With this friend, I have prayed many times before our lunch. Sometimes the daily good is easy to find, sometimes not. But there is always good.
There is good everywhere, we only need to pause long enough to see it.
This is a social experiment I’m doing. I’ve posted about 20+ days so far something good. I’m going to keep doing this each day. You can find my previous stories, by clicking on my name at the top upper left hand corner and navigating to them.
If you are a working mom and feel like every day is a challenge and want to change it, I’d love to work together. I coach busy working moms to help them accomplish what matters most. We working moms can’t do it all, but we can do what matters most.
Here’s a short video on my coaching process.
Let’s work together.
