The Daily Good: Day 26
“Where is your next hike?” I was asked today.
We hike.
A lot.
Actually, we adventure a lot.
Earlier this week I asked a friend for some advice. When we were saying our goodbye, after she gave me a ton of great information, she said, “I want to go on a hike with you.”
“Deal,” I said. We will plan it.
I never thought I’d be considered the resident hiking expert to my friends.
Often we become what we never thought we would be, even better than what we could imagine.
Growing up, I didn’t enjoy the hikes my Dad took my sisters and I on. Seems like we hiked so much.
It was what my Dad loved to do then and still does.
We camped each summer and days were spent hiking.
I’m not in tip-top shape, but hiking is a mental game.
If you think you can do it, then often you can.
It’s rarely about the technical ability.
It’s just getting out there and hiking.
There are so many parallels to life and hiking.
If you think you can do it, then often you can.
There is good everywhere, we only need to pause long enough to see it.
This is a social experiment I’m doing. I’ve posted about 20 days so far something old. I’m going to keep doing this each day. You can find my previous stories, by clicking on my name at the top upper left hand corner and navigating to them.
If you are a working mom and feel like every day is a challenge and want to change it, I’d love to work together. I coach busy working moms to help them accomplish what matters most. We working moms can’t do it all, but we can do what matters most.
Here’s a short video on my coaching process.
Let’s work together.
