The Daily Good: Day 24
Family.
We are a bonded together.
It’s a bond like none other. I’m sitting in a waiting room, eating peanut butter oatmeal cookies my sister made me. She’s having surgery today. She’s a gift giver. When people do something nice for her, even family, she always tries to acknowledge that gift. Thank you notes, small gifts or food. And my sister makes the best peanut butter oatmeal cookies. Thank goodness she doesn’t make them often.
Sitting in the waiting room, I’m part of a club, the family waiting club.
We are all alike here, even though our backgrounds are different. We are all waiting for surgery to be over to be reunited with our loved one.
Hopefully, my sister will be out of surgery soon, or at least before I eat all the cookies.
There is good everywhere, we only need to pause long enough to see it.
This is a social experiment I’m doing. I’ve posted about 20 days so far something old. I’m going to keep doing this each day. You can find my previous stories, by clicking on my name at the top upper left hand corner and navigating to them.
If you are a working mom and feel like every day is a challenge and want to change it, I’d love to work together. I coach busy working moms to help them accomplish what matters most. We working moms can’t do it all, but we can do what matters most.
Here’s a short video on my coaching process.
Let’s work together.
