The Daily Good: Day 18
We all need rest.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day. It’s a day to reflect on the importance of moms. It’s a unique day because many times what moms really want but don’t always have the way to express it is rest.
Though rest did not come in the way I had planned, I got to rest. My youngest had a headache, and we stayed home from church last night to rest. She and I both needed the rest. I enjoyed a brief bit of rest in the day that I had not planned, but welcomed.
We all need rest.
There is good everywhere, we only need to pause long enough to see it.
This is a social experiment I’m doing. Each day for 30 days (not necessarily consecutive), I’m going to find something good and write about it. These posts won’t be lengthy. The point is that if we look hard enough, there’s something we can see good in each day.
You can find the previous days here:
— Day 1 — The morning high five.
— Day 7 — The school receptionist.
— Day 8 — Funeral homes are weird.
— Day 9 — Five little blackbirds.
— Day 10 — Choosing to see the flowers.
— Day 11 — Allowing others to help.
— Day 13 — Power of a good mentor.
