The Daily Good: Day 16
Today’s daily good is about what happened yesterday. I’m still thinking about the wonder of it!
My daughters and I ordered pizza and had it delivered. In the days of Uber Eats and other delivery services, this seems familiar to most people; it is not for us.
Don’t get me wrong, we eat fast food and eat pizza (I actually love pizza). But we live where there are only one of the four pizza places in town who will deliver to us.
When I told my daughters we were ordering pizza (a result of being very tired and not wanting to cook) there was an excitement in the house not to be matched with anything else I could have said at that moment. They were genuinely excited and could not wait for the pizza delivery person to arrive.
This is a reminder for me that the little things, even those I do as a result of being tired, matter. They turned a small action, ordering pizza, into a night of excitement and wonder.
There is good everywhere, we only need to pause long enough to see it.
This is a social experiment I’m doing. Each day for 30 days (not necessarily consecutive), I’m going to find something good and write about it. These posts won’t be lengthy. The point is that if we look hard enough, there’s something we can see good in each day.
