A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to spend some time in a mentoring session with a high revered person where I work.

She gave me a piece of advice, three of them really that she tries to adhere to each day.

I’m sharing these because I am still thinking about it.

Sometimes the daily good is remembering advice from others at the time when you need it the most.

Be kind. She mentioned smiling. She wears very bright lipstick, she told me she does this so people can notice her smiling.

Be curious. She told me to ask lots of questions.

Be first. She said your questions asked in the first 10 minutes of the meeting don’t have to be as smart as the last 10 minutes.

There is good everywhere, we only need to pause long enough to see it.

This is a social experiment I’m doing. I’ve posted about 20 days so far something old. I’m going to keep doing this each day. You can find my previous stories, by clicking on my name at the top upper left hand corner and navigating to them.

If you are a working mom and feel like every day is a challenge and want to change it, I’d love to work together. I coach busy working moms to help them accomplish what matters most. We working moms can’t do it all, but we can do what matters most.

Here’s a short video on my coaching process.

Let’s work together.
